Genuine Jaguar Classic Parts E-Type Series I Bonnet Assembly, New
Complete original Series 1 bonnet assembly, including headlamp panels, air ducts and closing panels hand-finished using original tooling with original specification mechanisms and fittings. Because of this, significant work will be required to tailor each bonnet precisely to your individual vehicle.
This bonnet is made to the later 4.2 Series 1 E-Type specification. Some differences will be apparent if you're fitting it to a 3.8:
- Horn mounting brackets for the Early 3.8 Series 1 models, which were welded in to the bonnet under panel, are not included.
- This bonnet does not accommodate the "Side Locking" or "Spot Welded Louvres" of the very early 3.8 models.
All JLR E-Type Bonnets are hand built using original and refurbished tooling. It is to be expected that variations in the assembly and finishing process, and variations in the base vehicle will necessitate extra time for the fitment process. As such, no two base vehicles or remaining body shells will be the same.
